You can also pick up our recently released LP and maybe hear a new song or two. That's right, we're demoing for the next album. It's gonna be a good year.

Girls Named Benji - Murder Shoes
The second single from our Daydreaming album was just released today. It's called Girls Named Benji, and it has its roots in a situationalist challenge between band mates. First we had the title and then had to write the music around it. In my mind, it would have a repetitive call back lyric in the verse and then I thought of solo Lou Reed or the Velvet Underground and went about writing some manner of song with the simple sort of lovable chug that makes the VU so damn catchy. In a strange turn of events, my absurdist lyrics stayed when we all worked it up for what we now have here. A bit of ridiculousness now set to footage from our recent midwest tour.
Daydreaming, produced by Knol Tate, arrives via Landski Records Nov. 6th with a release show happening at the Icehouse on Nov 10th. Live radio session soon after! Meow.

New Book From Fantagraphics!
Sweet Christmas! It's almost here! Fantagraphics Books is pressing the third book in my art and fiction travelogue series, Enough Astronaut Blood To Last The Winter via their new FU imprint. My previous books, Shutdown Vol. 3, and Journey By Ferry To Celibate City or Thigh Town, were done in the handy black and white 5x7 format. This time around, we got all coffee table on ya, and it's going to be a full color offset, 264 page, 8x10 monster.
Over the years I've made various prototypes and redesigned it a half dozen times, but now it's finished and you can see the final version of the book that documents the batshit crazy time that was my life in NYC the second time around. If you're interested in anything I do art-wise, this collection is a handy way to carry around a big chunk of it.
Like the other art books I've done, it's available in limited quantities, and since it's a weirdo art book, you won't find it at the airport bookseller. You can pre-order copies directly from Fantagraphics here. They'll treat you right.

One House, Many Rooms- The Eel Mansions Critical E-Book
Over the last couple years, I've been lucky enough to have the individual issues of Eel Mansions reviewed, dissected, and masticated by Keith Silva and Daniel Elkin, scribes for web blog, Comics Bulletin. The reviews were hilariously extensive and included many wandering open questions, absurdities, and insightful dialogues. Just recently, they compiled all of these reviews along with some fresh analysis, and an interview i don't remember doing. Was I there? I might have still been on that two week tour. Anyhoo, it's a funny read, and if you dug Eels, a little further reading might be your cup of Chai. With whiskey.
Oh yeah, it has a cover featuring a new drawing by yours truly.
